General Painting
PAINTING: THE JOB MOST PEOPLE HATE
But, I love it. I really enjoy transforming something bland or ugly, into something SPECIAL. Whether it is general maintenance painting or adding a splash of color to a dull room.....it has to get done.
EXTERIOR PAINTING and DECK STAINING:
Up here in the mountains exterior painting has to be done on a regular basis.....every 2-3 years. The harsh sun and brutal cold and snow ares very hard on your home's siding and decks. Please do not neglect these areas or it will cost your more in the end.
INTERIOR PAINTING and STAINING:
You notice a BAD paint job, as soon as you enter the home or room - sloppy edges, runs, drips, roller marks, skips and missed areas. They jump right out at you.
A quality paint job should include the following:
- Protection of all flooring, fixtures and furniture
- Scrape or sand any trim or walls that show wear or peeling
- Clean trim prior to taping or painting
- Tape and caulk all trim and mouldings
- Drywall repair and priming as needed
- Two (2) coats of premium latex paint, in the proper sheen
- Proper cleanup and restoration of the home or room
- Most important of all - time taken to select, along with the homeowner, the proper colors and faux treatment to acheive the look desired
Wow, that's a lot of work! (but standard for us) It's a good thing you know the name and number of a GREAT PAINTER
